EDITOR: I would like to express my gratitude for all of the thoughts, prayers, hugs and cards I have received since the untimely death of my mother, Mildred Forrest, on Dec. 12. My mother was my best friend and I am walking around in a daze wondering why she had to die in the manner and time that she did.

EDITOR: I would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote intelligently after getting to know the candidates. Housing Authority needs to be responsive
EDITOR: I asked questions about a felon working for the Monroe County Housing Authority. Now I am the one being discriminated against. The Tropical Isle Apartments are not properly run. So much goes on here, and the complex staff never cares to check it out.
